Further education
We have the responsibility to ensure our employees are continuously updated in the area of their expertise. Our in-house training programs are regularly adapted. Formal education requests are supported within our generous regulations.
Holidays
25 days of holiday are paid to the age of 59. From the 60th birthday, a further five days are added.
Maternity leave
Hirslanden employees are entitled to 16 weeks maternity leave commencing at date of birth or earliest two weeks before the date of birth. During maternity leave they receive 80% of their normal salary in the first year of employment, 100% as of the second year.
Collective medical insurance
You are entitled to join the collective medical insurance, which will give you and your family cheaper rates. Additionally Hirslanden will contribute the extra cost to upgrade to private care for hospital costs in the event of sickness or accident.
Payment of salary in the event of sickness or accident
Should it not be possible for you to work as the result of illness, accident, pregnancy or birth, Hirslanden will continue to pay your salary for longer than the period required by law.
Pension scheme contributions
The contribution made by the Hirslanden to the pension scheme is more than that required by law. We will also support you under the regulations laid down by the BVG in respect of home ownership. We are happy to answer any questions you may have in this regard.
Subsidised cantine
Meals in our canteens are subsidised.
Overtime pay
The extra pay for overtime is higher than what is required by the legal system.
